Experience

I graduated from Ohio State University, where I completed my Bachelor of Arts and Science in Spanish, with an Education minor. I later received my license to teach from the University of Dayton. Currently, I am in the process of finishing my master's degree in Education.  I am now a high school Spanish teacher, and I tutor Spanish 1, 2, 3, and 4 as well as AP Spanish Language. I really enjoy writing lesson plans and developing hands-on activities. I believe that these methods make the lesson meaningful and help to motivate the students to do well. I try to incorporate pop culture and social media when I can to make the lessons relevant to my students. I am a firm believer in a communicative approach when it comes to learning a new language. In my spare time, I like to be outside, work with my horses (I train and show them), play with my dogs (I have three), and sing competitively in a women's barbershop chorus (I sing baritone).
